Privacy Policy for Hallos

Hallos AI, LLC ("Hallos," “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Hallos application for macOS and iOS and related services, including the Hallos Agent Marketplace (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

By using Hallos, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.


1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account Information. When you create a Hallos account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials (or third-party sign-in tokens if you use Sign in with Apple or similar services).
  • Payment Information. If you purchase agents through the Hallos Agent Marketplace, payment is processed by third-party payment processors (such as Apple or Stripe). We do not store your credit card numbers or bank account details. We receive transaction confirmations, purchase history, and billing identifiers.
  • Support & Communications. If you contact us for support or provide feedback, we collect the content of those communications.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data. We collect anonymized data about how you use Hallos, including features accessed, session duration, agent runs initiated, and general interaction patterns. This helps us improve the Service.
  • Device Information. We collect basic device information such as operating system version, app version, device model, and a randomly generated device identifier.
  • Crash & Performance Data. We collect crash logs and performance metrics to diagnose and fix issues.

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • API Keys. Your third-party API keys (e.g., for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or other AI model providers) are stored locally on your device. Hallos does not transmit, store, or have access to your API keys on our servers. All API calls using your keys are made directly from your device to the respective AI provider.
  • Agent Output & Content. The content generated by AI agents running on your device stays on your device. We do not collect, monitor, or store the inputs you provide to agents or the outputs they generate.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process Marketplace transactions and manage your purchase history
  • Send transactional communications (purchase confirmations, account updates)
  • Diagnose technical issues and improve app stability
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data to train AI models.


3. Hallos Agent Marketplace

When you browse or purchase agents in the Hallos Agent Marketplace:

  • We collect information about your browsing activity within the Marketplace (agents viewed, searches performed) to improve recommendations and the Marketplace experience.
  • Purchase records (which agents you purchased, timestamps, and transaction amounts) are retained for accounting and support purposes.
  • Agents you purchase run locally on your device using your own API keys. We do not process or observe the data flowing between your device and AI model providers during agent execution.

4. Third-Party Services

Hallos integrates with or relies on the following categories of third-party services:

  • AI Model Providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google). When you run agents, your device communicates directly with these providers using your API keys. Their respective privacy policies govern how they handle your data.
  • Payment Processors (e.g., Apple In-App Purchase, Stripe). Payment data is handled by these processors under their privacy policies. We do not have access to full payment credentials.
  • Analytics Services. We may use privacy-focused analytics services to understand aggregate usage patterns. These services receive anonymized or pseudonymized data.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party AI provider whose API key you use with Hallos.


5. Data Retention

  • Account Data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
  • Usage & Analytics Data is retained in anonymized form and may be kept indefinitely for product improvement.
  • Transaction Records are retained as required by applicable tax and accounting regulations.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest where applicable. Your API keys are stored in your device’s secure keychain or equivalent secure storage and are never transmitted to our servers.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.


7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Delete your account and associated personal data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Opt out of non-essential analytics data collection

8. Children’s Privacy

Hallos is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.


9. International Data Transfers

If you use Hallos outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where Hallos AI, LLC is based. We take steps to ensure that your data receives an adequate level of protection.


10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by updating the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
